That “$59/year” headline has probably caught your eye. Unfortunately for the advertisers, what they usually don’t cover is how that compares with other options and whether that builder impairs your site’s speed.
In this post, we will review the pricing of Elementor Pro over time, how it compares with Bricks, Breakdance, and Divi 5, and whether the “bloat” tag is still valid in 2026.
Elementor is a page builder plugin for WordPress. The free plugin includes the simple page building blocks you need. Pro includes everything else the average business site requires: header and footer builders, forms and popups, and WooCommerce.
So the real question isn’t “Is it easy to get going?” Because it’s obviously yes. The question is “What are the costs to hold it, and what is the impact on my page speed?”

Elementor sells licenses by number of sites, billed annually. According to Elementor’s own page on September 9, 2026, the plans were $60, $84, $108, and $204 a year.
| Plan | Price/yr | Sites | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | ~$60 | 1 | Simple single site (57 Pro widgets) |
| Advanced Solo | ~$84 | 1 | Single WooCommerce store or full widget access |
| Advanced | ~$108 | 3 | Freelancers with a few sites |
| Expert | ~$204 | 25 | Growing agencies |
| Elementor One | $15/mo promo, renews at $228/yr | 1 | Pro plus 25,000 monthly AI credits |
Third-party guides list $59, $99, and $199 for some tiers, and Elementor adjusts prices and promotions often. Always check the live pricing page.
This is where Elementor is different from the hosting industry. For the Pro plugin, you currently pay $49 a year; the renewal cost is going to be the same. No Hostinger-style renewal hell. Two:
…partly (it’s also about how you build).
The bottom line: a good-sized atomic site with caching can be very fast. A V3 legacy site with a number of additional plugins is probably going to remain heavier than Bricks or Breakdance. INP optimization should be your priority on Elementor.

| Builder | Entry price | Multi-site / unlimited | Lifetime? | Speed reputation |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elementor Pro | ~$60/yr (1 site) | $204/yr (25 sites) | No | Improving (v4), heavier legacy |
| Bricks | $79/yr (1 site) | $249/yr unlimited | Yes, $599 | Cleanest output; steeper learning curve |
| Breakdance | $99.99/yr (1 site) | $199.99/yr unlimited | No (phased out) | Lighter than Elementor, easier than Bricks |
| Divi 5 | $89/yr | Unlimited sites on every plan | Yes, $249 | Improved with Divi 5, launched February 26, 2026 |
| Beaver Builder | Varies | $199/yr unlimited | No | Stable, agency-oriented |

In conclusion. – $49 a year for one site is very competitive for Elementor, and it gets very expensive for multiple sites. – Divi and Bricks are substantially cheaper on an entire portfolio, and Bricks has a speed advantage. – The three things you’ll really benefit from with Elementor are the ecosystem, the beginner editing, and how quick it is for clients to maintain a site they didn’t create.
Elementor is no longer the obvious default, but it’s still a strong tool. It wins on ease of use, ecosystem, and predictable renewals. It loses on raw speed and multi-site cost.
There’s no single winner here. It’s a matter of what matters most to you:
What will you optimize for? Speed, simplicity, or cost?
Elementor Pro remains a good option if simplicity and ecosystem matter more than performance. Budget the whole renewal from day 1, build with Atomic widgets, and combine with fast hosting and caching. It is not as clear-cut as it was 3 years ago.
